Horner visit fuels talk of MotoGP interest

Christian Horner has prompted renewed debate over his future after appearing in the MotoGP paddock during the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez, describing the series as being in “a really interesting time” under Liberty Media. The former Red Bull Formula 1 team principal, who led the team to eight world titles before his 2025 exit, has been linked with a possible F1 return through a stake in Alpine, though that route has become less straightforward. His MotoGP visit comes as Liberty opens new investment avenues, highlighted by Guenther Steiner’s consortium buying Tech3 for twenty million euros.

Horner, attending alongside F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, said he wanted to observe MotoGP’s evolution, noting his previous visit dated back to Estoril in 2005. He praised the level of racing and the quality of the machinery, adding that Liberty’s experience could create natural synergies. While offering no indication of concrete plans, his presence has intensified speculation about his next step.
