FIA confirms daytime start for Bahrain GP relocated to Sepang

The FIA has officially confirmed the start times for the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix, which this year will be held at Sepang, ending confusion sparked by an error on the Formula 1 app. A mistaken calendar entry briefly indicated the race would run under the lights, prompting organisers to clarify that the event would follow a traditional daytime schedule. The Federation has now published the full timetable for the final 12 rounds, including Sprint sessions at Zandvoort and Singapore.

According to the updated schedule, the Bahrain GP—part of an Asian triple‑header with Baku and Singapore—will take place on October 4 at 15:00 local time, with qualifying set for 16:00 the previous day. European fans will face early viewing hours due to the six‑hour time difference with Malaysia.

The FIA’s update also maintains Qatar and Abu Dhabi as the season’s closing rounds, though instability in the Gulf could still prompt late‑season changes involving Imola or Portimão.
