Semi‑finalists surge in updated T20I rankings

The latest ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings reflect major gains for stars shining at the T20 World Cup, with England, Australia and South Africa leading the movement. India’s Sree Charani stays No.1 among bowlers after taking 14 wickets, but pressure is mounting from those still active in the tournament. England’s Sophie Ecclestone rises to third, Lauren Bell climbs to fourth, South Africa’s Nonkululek Mlaba moves to fifth and Pakistan’s Nashra Sandhu reaches ninth.

Outside the top tier, Marizanne Kapp jumps to 14th, Kathryn Bryce to 26th and New Zealand seamer Bree Illing to 31st. In the batting rankings, Australia’s Georgia Voll maintains her lead ahead of a semi‑final against West Indies. South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt moves to equal third, while Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu climbs to seventh after her century in Bristol. England’s Danni Wyatt‑Hodge rises to 11th, with Ellyse Perry, Annerie Dercksen and Darcey Carter also improving.

Hayley Matthews remains the top all‑rounder.
