Martin targets Bezzecchi as Le Mans battle looms

Aprilia head to Le Mans expecting a starring weekend, with both Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin returning to a circuit where they have historically excelled. Bezzecchi claimed victory in 2023 ahead of Martin, who one year later finished second behind Marc Marquez after a thrilling duel with Francesco Bagnaia. Martin missed last year’s race due to injury, while rain ultimately crowned home favourite Johann Zarco. Fresh from encouraging progress during the Jerez test, Martin believes another step is within reach, noting improved physical condition and the importance of validating new technical solutions on a different layout.

Bezzecchi, meanwhile, aims to extend his championship lead and reinforce his status as Aprilia’s reference point. He praised the atmosphere at Le Mans and stressed the need for consistent competitiveness across the weekend. With both riders confident and the team buoyed by recent gains, Aprilia approach the French round with genuine ambition.
