Mohammad Rizwan has pledged to fight his way back into Pakistan’s T20I side, acknowledging his recent struggles while reaffirming his commitment to all three formats. Although still a central figure in Tests and ODIs, the thirty‑three‑year‑old has not played a T20I since late 2024 and was left out of the squad for this year’s World Cup, where Pakistan failed to reach the knockouts. His Pakistan Super League form has also dipped, with only one hundred and seven runs in seven innings for RawalPindiz.
Rizwan admitted the downturn but stressed that difficult phases are part of a player’s career and that he retains both desire and competitiveness. He reiterated that retirement should only be considered when passion fades, something he insists has not happened. Recently selected for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh, he remains focused on contributing across formats and believes hard work will allow him to reclaim his place in the shortest format.
