Luca Marini has declared that Honda has finally put its persistent MotoGP chatter issue behind it, marking a significant step forward for the Japanese manufacturer. The problem, intensified by Michelin’s updated 2024 rear tyre, caused severe corner‑entry vibration and plagued several teams last season, while rivals like Ducati and Aprilia managed to avoid it.
Speaking ahead of the Thai Grand Prix, Marini explained that Honda’s progress stems from extensive work carried out throughout the previous campaign. He noted that Buriram had been one of the worst circuits for the phenomenon, especially at Turn 4, yet the bike now feels stable. According to Marini, the breakthrough did not come from a single fix but from a blend of technical adjustments and refined riding technique. He added that overly aggressive inputs, particularly heavy rear‑brake use, could still provoke instability. With chatter resolved, improving rear grip now becomes Honda’s next major objective.
