Copenhagen miss out on Championship playoffs as AGF extend lead

After a disappointing 1-2 defeat against Randers FC at home, FC Copenhagen ended up in seventh spot in the regular season of the Danish Superliga and consequently failed to qualify for the Championship playoffs.

Randers striker Mathias Greve put the final nail in the Copenhagen coffin with a penalty in the final seconds of the match.

Instead of battling for top positions, for the rest of the spring, FC Copenhagen will now be involved in relegation playoffs for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, AGF extended their gap at the top of the standings to four points through a 2-1 win against Vejle.
