The Ducati rider posted the third fastest time, trailing Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi and Ai Ogura. Bezzecchi set a new track record, beating Marquez by a margin of nearly two tenths. However, Marquez crashed during a race simulation, his third fall in two days.
Addressing his condition, Marquez remained positive about his speed and rhythm. He admitted the crash resulted from poor concentration due to illness but he praised the feedback from his machine. He hopes to fully recover before the race weekend. Regarding his prospects, the Spaniard stated he cannot promise a victory but is confident he can fight for one. He acknowledged the strength of the Aprilia riders, and the speed of Alex Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia, confirming the upcoming competition will be fierce yet he is ready to contend.
