AGF continue their leadership in Danish Superliga's restart

AGF preserved their four-point cushion over FC Midtjylland at the Danish Superliga summit following a dramatic, hard-fought 2-1 victory against Odense in Aarhus. Although the hosts began with creative flair, Odense took a shock lead when Noah Ganaus steered Leeroy Owusu’s cross past the keeper against the run of play. AGF subsequently besieged the visitors’ goal, yet Odense survived until halftime thanks to goalkeeper Viljar Myhra, who produced a miraculous reflex save to deny Patrick Mortensen.

The home dominance continued after the interval, but Myhra remained a formidable barrier, stopping clear scoring chances from Mortensen and Kevin Yakob. Just as Odense appeared destined for a sensational upset, Gift Links set up Frederik Emmery to equalize with four minutes remaining. The comeback was completed moments later when Myhra blocked Links’ shot, only for substitute Janni Serra to head the rebound home, sending the Aarhus crowd into raptures and securing three points.
