Jack Doohan and Alpine part ways: official team announcement

Following news of Victor Martins joining Alpine’s WEC squad, the French team confirmed a significant Formula 1 change: Enstone and Jack Doohan have mutually terminated their contract. The Australian will discontinue his role following a difficult 2025, where a scoreless start saw him replaced by Franco Colapinto at Imola.

The official statement confirms Doohan will not continue for the 2026 season, allowing him to pursue other career paths. Alpine acknowledged his status as the first Academy member to secure a race seat, debuting at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Alpine stated: “The team wishes to thank Jack for his commitment and professionalism shown over the last four years.” Although his recent campaign proved complex, this amicable separation concludes a significant partnership. Doohan leaves to find fresh opportunities while Alpine resets for the future, marking the end of their long collaboration.
