AGF-keeper wins Danish Goalkeeper of the Year award

AGF’s Jesper Hansen has secured the prestigious Danish Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third time in 2025. This achievement places him alongside legends like Peter Schmeichel, Karim Zaza, and Jesper Christiansen.

Hansen received top votes from eight of the 24 starting keepers in the Superliga and First Division. Since players cannot vote for themselves, he appeared in the top three on 16 of 23 valid ballots. Hansen expressed immense pride to Tipsbladet, valuing the recognition from his peers above all. In the final count, he amassed 33 points, surpassing FC Midtjylland’s Elias Olafsson, who finished with 27, and Silkeborg’s Nicolai Larsen with 25.

Even rivals acknowledged his excellence; FC Copenhagen’s Dominik Kotarski praised the veteran’s consistency and the trust he commands from defenders. Kotarski noted that despite his own short time in Denmark, Hansen’s solid performance stood out clearly, earning him the true respect of the league’s competitors.
