The Golden State Warriors closed their preseason with a 128–118 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, finishing 4–2. Portland ended its preparation at 3–1 after a promising start faded under mounting defensive pressure.
Damian Lillard and Ja Morant helped the Blazers establish an early 11-point advantage. Georges Niang then transformed the contest, scoring 11 consecutive points and inspiring a decisive 23–4 Golden State run.
The Warriors took control after halftime through sharper ball movement, aggressive cuts and improved defensive intensity. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg impressed with 17 points, five assists and four rebounds, while Al Horford contributed 15 points, all from three-point range.
Lillard finished with 23 points, and Stephen Curry added 20. Draymond Green orchestrated Golden State’s offense with 10 assists and eight rebounds.
Despite Portland’s late resistance, the Warriors secured victory, while the Blazers must improve defensively before the regular season begins.
