Roma hold firm with ten men to earn goalless draw at Como

Roma secured a hard-fought 0-0 draw away to Como on Sunday, overcoming more than half an hour with ten players to claim a valuable Serie A point.

Stand-in goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini proved instrumental, stepping up in the absence of injured first-choice Mile Svilar. The visitors created promising opportunities before the interval, with Paulo Dybala missing from close range and captain Lorenzo Pellegrini striking the woodwork on his return from injury.

Como threatened through Nico Paz, Lucas Da Cunha and Máximo Perrone but struggled to convert their chances. The match shifted dramatically in the 53rd minute when Malen received a straight red card for a challenge on Kaiki Bruno. Como increased the pressure, yet Perrone missed a golden opportunity shortly afterwards. Roma defended resolutely until the final whistle, while Como remained sixth. The draw leaves Roma trailing Inter in the title race after the Milanese side moved top with Saturday’s victory.
