USA extend Presidents Cup supremacy with dramatic Medinah comeback

The United States completed a remarkable fightback to claim another Presidents Cup title, defeating the Internationals 17‑13 after a dominant final‑day surge at Medinah. Jacob Bridgeman delivered the decisive point with a four‑foot par putt on the 18th, edging Australia’s Min Woo Lee 1‑up and capping a comeback from a 10.5‑7.5 overnight deficit. The Americans, featuring eight of the world’s top 11 players, improved their record in the event to 14‑1‑1 and triumphed on the same course where Europe produced the 2012 “Miracle at Medinah”.

Captain Brandt Snedeker praised his team’s resilience, while President Trump’s presence added spectacle to the occasion. The Internationals, seeking their first win since 1998, faltered despite strong performances from Tom Kim, Im Sung‑jae and others. Key US victories from Cameron Young, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa shifted momentum before Bridgeman’s composed finish sealed the Cup. The Americans ultimately claimed nine wins and a draw in singles.
