Fenerbahce land €12m deal for Ghana defender Oppong Peprah

Ghana international Kojo Oppong Peprah has completed his move to Fenerbahce, signing a four‑year contract after the Turkish giants agreed a €12 million deal with OGC Nice, who will retain a 10 percent sell‑on clause. The 22‑year‑old arrives in Istanbul following an impressive debut season in France, where he made 43 appearances across competitions, including 29 in Ligue 1.

Oppong Peprah joined Nice from IFK Norrköping in 2025 and quickly established himself as a key defensive figure. Speaking at his unveiling, he said he was “very happy” to join the Fenerbahce “family” and eager to begin this new challenge. Conversations with fellow Ghanaian Alexander Djiku, who previously spent two seasons at the club, helped convince him to make the move.

The defender’s rapid development has taken him from Ghana’s Attram de Visser Academy to Sweden, France and now Turkey, where he hopes to continue improving and expected to make his debut against Samsunspor.
