Magnificent Salah fires hat-trick as Trabzonspor crush champions Galatasaray

Mohamed Salah produced a sensational hat‑trick to inspire Trabzonspor’s 4‑0 demolition of reigning champions Galatasaray, marking the Istanbul side’s first loss of the Turkish Super Lig campaign. The Egyptian opened the score after four minutes, bursting through midfield before finishing coolly, and later set up Noah Saviolo for the second with a precise pass inside the box. Salah struck again just before half‑time, converting a Franculino Dju assist to send Trabzonspor into the break three goals ahead.

He completed his treble in the 80th minute, sprinting more than half the pitch unchallenged before slotting home with his trademark side‑foot finish. Galatasaray’s frustration boiled over as coach Okan Buruk was sent off in the 71st minute, followed by a late red card for Lesley Ugochukwu. The match marked Thomas Reis’s first in charge of Trabzonspor after Fatih Tekke’s departure. Trabzonspor now sit fifth with 10 points, three behind leaders Galatasaray.
