Fenerbahce land Marseille's Mason Greenwood in €39 million deal

Fenerbahce have officially completed the signing of Mason Greenwood from Marseille in a transfer worth €39 million, the club announced on Tuesday. The 24‑year‑old forward joins the Süper Lig side after two prolific seasons in France, where he scored 37 league goals in 66 appearances. Fenerbahce confirmed that an agreement was reached with both the player and Marseille, with the fee to be paid in three equal instalments over the next three years. The club will also cover any solidarity payments required under FIFA regulations.

Greenwood moved to Marseille from Manchester United in July 2024 on a five‑year deal, ending his long spell in the Premier League. Fenerbahce hope his arrival will strengthen their attack as they push to end a title drought dating back to 2014. The versatile striker is expected to play a central role in their bid to reclaim domestic dominance and add firepower to their frontline.
