Fenerbahce complete signing of Nathan Ake from Man City

Nathan Ake has completed his move to Fenerbahce, closing a successful six‑year chapter at Manchester City. The Turkish club announced the transfer on Friday, though details regarding contract length and fee remain undisclosed. Ake, 31, joined City from Bournemouth in 2020 for around €45 million and went on to make 177 appearances across all competitions, collecting 12 trophies during his time in Manchester.

Fresh from featuring in three of the Netherlands’ four matches at the 2026 World Cup, he arrives in Istanbul as Fenerbahce attempt to rebound from another frustrating league campaign, finishing one point behind champions Galatasaray and extending their title drought to twelve seasons. The club has already reacted by dismissing Domenico Tedesco after a single year and reinstating Ismail Kartal for a fourth managerial spell. Ake’s versatility and experience are expected to play a central role as Fenerbahce reshape their squad and renew their push for the Süper Lig crown.
