Bos ruled out for three months after World Cup knee injury

Feyenoord have confirmed that Jordan Bos will be sidelined for the first three months of the new season after suffering a knee injury at the World Cup. The Australian left‑back underwent successful surgery on Saturday, days after being forced off in the first half of Australia’s last‑32 defeat to Egypt in Dallas. Bos left the pitch with his left knee in a brace following a heavy collision, ending a tournament in which he had started every match for the Socceroos.

The 23‑year‑old had fought back from serious hamstring problems to earn his move to Feyenoord, where he impressed in his debut campaign with four goals across 36 appearances after arriving from Westerlo. His absence represents a significant setback for the Dutch club as they prepare for the new season. Bos will now begin a rehabilitation programme aimed at returning to full fitness before the end of the year.
