City move to secure Gvardiol, but Bayern and Real Madrid enquire

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have made initial enquiries about Josko Gvardiol as uncertainty grows around the defender’s long‑term future at Manchester City, according to TEAMtalk. Representatives of the Croatian international have reportedly been approached amid rising interest from Europe’s biggest clubs. Gvardiol is under contract until 2028, yet his performances since joining from RB Leipzig in 2023 have naturally attracted attention from sides seeking defensive reinforcements.

City, however, remain determined to secure his future and are already working on a new long‑term agreement. The club view the twenty‑four‑year‑old as a central figure in their project, valuing his ability to operate both as a centre‑back and on the left side of defence.

Despite currently recovering from a broken leg, Gvardiol is still regarded as one of Europe’s standout defenders, and the continued interest only reinforces City’s intention to ward off potential suitors with an improved contract offer.
