Inter crowned 2025/26 champions as Chivu delivers 21st Scudetto

Inter Milan have reclaimed the Serie A title, securing their twenty‑first Scudetto with three games to spare and confirming their return to the top of Italian football. In his first full season in charge, Cristian Chivu guided the Nerazzurri with authority, holding off Napoli and AC Milan in a campaign that felt like the natural continuation of a rebuilt project.

This Inter team has been defined by composure under pressure, consistently absorbing difficult moments without losing structure. Yann Sommer provided stability in goal, while the arrival of Manuel Akanji added leadership and reliability to a defence that needed renewed balance.

On the flanks, Federico Dimarco delivered creativity and end product, supported by valuable contributions from Carlos Augusto and Yann Aurel Bisseck despite injury disruptions.

Above all, Chivu emerged as the defining figure. Initially met with scepticism, he restored identity and cohesion, delivering a remarkable title in his first full campaign.
