IPL 2026 adjusts schedule as Titans–Super Kings venues are swapped

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has updated the 2026 Indian Premier League schedule, announcing a venue swap for both meetings between the Gujarat Titans and the Chennai Super Kings. The afternoon clash on April twenty‑six, initially planned for Ahmedabad, will now take place at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, with the first ball scheduled for 3:30 PM IST. The return fixture on May twenty‑one has been reassigned to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, beginning at 7:30 PM IST.

League officials explained that the adjustment became necessary due to municipal corporation elections set to be held across Ahmedabad and several other regions of Gujarat on April twenty‑six. To avoid logistical complications and ensure smooth operations on match day, the IPL opted to reverse the home‑and‑away order. Both franchises will now prepare for the revised travel schedule as the tournament enters a crucial phase.
