Razgatlioglu savours first MotoGP point

Toprak Razgatlioglu claimed his first MotoGP point with a hard‑fought 15th place at the Americas GP, standing as the only Yamaha‑powered rider—factory or Pramac—to finish inside the points after a disastrous weekend for the Japanese manufacturer. The three‑time World Superbike champion, now in his debut MotoGP season, has consistently outperformed teammate Jack Miller and continued that trend in Austin.

Razgatlioglu said he “gave more than 100%” to secure the milestone, admitting the race was extremely demanding. He highlighted the value of following Fabio Quartararo for several laps, using the opportunity to study lines and better understand both the bike and the circuit. The Turkish rider feels he is improving “race by race” and aims to return stronger after the short break before Jerez.

Pramac team manager Gino Borsoi praised the effort, calling the point an important morale boost and a foundation for continued progress.
