New Zealand recall pace trio for Bangladesh tour

New Zealand have bolstered their white‑ball ranks with the returns of Will O’Rourke, Blair Tickner and Matt Fisher for the upcoming ODI and T20I series in Bangladesh. Test captain Tom Latham will lead a 15‑man group, with regular white‑ball skipper Mitch Santner unavailable due to IPL duties. Several other multi‑format players are also absent as they feature in the IPL and PSL.

The three quicks rejoin the setup after injury layoffs: O’Rourke, recovering from a back issue, is selected for the ODIs; Fisher, back from a shin injury, features in the T20Is; Tickner, who overcame an ankle problem, appears in both squads. Head coach Rob Walter praised their resilience and highlighted the importance of deep bowling resources in a packed calendar.

Dean Foxcroft earns a white‑ball recall, while Kristian Clarke and Jayden Lennox retain opportunities after January’s landmark series win in India. The tour begins April 13 and includes three ODIs and three T20Is across Dhaka and Chattogram.
