Verstappen eyes another Nürburgring return

Max Verstappen’s thrilling wheel‑to‑wheel fight with Christopher Haase during the Nürburgring 4 Hours captivated fans who tuned in during Formula 1’s weekend off. For an hour, the Dutchman’s Mercedes shone in the technical sections while Haase’s Audi defended fiercely on the straights, culminating in a spectacular late overtake to close the opening stint. The result, however, was wiped out when Verstappen’s team was disqualified for exceeding the permitted tyre allocation.

Yet the setback may not be the end of his 2025 Nordschleife adventures. With the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix postponed, April suddenly offers a rare window for Verstappen to return to the “Green Hell.” Beyond his confirmed entry for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in mid‑May, he could also appear in the third round of the NLS season on April 11, should he choose to seize the opportunity created by Formula 1’s unexpected pause.
