Qatar MotoGP postponed to November

The Qatar Grand Prix has officially been pushed from 12 April to 8 November, following Formula 1’s decision to suspend all April races due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East. With Bahrain and Saudi Arabia unable to host events, MotoGP opted for the same precaution, moving Qatar to the end of the season. The race will now close a demanding triple‑header alongside Australia and Malaysia. 

This adjustment forces further changes: the Portuguese GP and the Valencia finale shift one week later, to 22 and 29 November respectively, while the rest of the 2026 calendar remains untouched. MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta stressed that safety and operational standards guided the decision, adding that ticket holders may transfer their passes. FIM president Jorge Viegas fully endorsed the move, noting that the geopolitical climate leaves no alternative to ensuring riders, teams, officials and fans can compete under the safest possible conditions.
