Verstappen gets revenge and F1 star quits

Max Verstappen managed to handle a wild race around the Lusail International Circuit to win the Qatar Grand Prix, his seventh race of the season. The entire grid was filled with drama and skirmishes, and even after the race was over, further rumours surfaced, with Alpine confirming Esteban Ocon's instant elimination.

Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton were disappointed, as Sergio Perez had yet another challenging race. The Times begins in the UK and centres on the thrilling duel between Verstappen and Russell that raged over the course of the weekend. After accusing Russell of vigorously urging the officials to give Verstappen a grid penalty for driving too slowly during qualifying, Verstappen publicly attacked the Mercedes driver in Qatar. Russell was "hysterical" the entire weekend, according to Christian Horner, the Red Bull team principal, after the race.
