Bagnaia struggles but refuses excuses: 'The issue is me'

Following a difficult conclusion to 2025, the three-time Ducati champion failed to reach Q2 and finished ninth in the Buriram Sprint. Despite starting thirteenth and only scoring points due to Bezzecchi’s crash, Bagnaia offered no excuses. He accepted full responsibility, admitting he struggled with front-end entry and stopping the bike.

"The conditions changed, but the problem is mine," he explained. Bagnaia noted that grip levels dropped, and rivals, specifically KTM, adapted faster. While he suffered on new tires and braking, he insisted the bike remains unchanged. Comparing this to last year, he described a "thin line" regarding braking efficiency. Nevertheless, the Italian remains perspective-minded, highlighting that this result actually yielded significantly more points than his recent struggles, marking a small step forward in Sprint performance despite the very obvious setbacks.
