Miller defends Adelaide: 'We race on similar tracks already'

While MotoGP fans are upset about losing the historic venue, the Australian Yamaha rider insists safety will not be compromised. The layout, formerly used by Formula 1, will be modified, though bikes will still reach 340 km/h on the Brabham Straight between concrete walls. Serving as a project ambassador, Miller argued that Australians prioritize high safety standards and noted that current MotoGP venues already feature tighter walls and similar limited runoff areas.

Although Miller admitted he is devastated to leave Phillip Island, describing it as the absolute best track he has ever raced on, he expressed excitement about Australia hosting the series' first true street race. He acknowledged that while street circuits like Monaco are often divisive, adding a unique urban venue to the calendar offers a refreshing and distinct challenge.
