Cadillac’s long‑awaited first appearance in Formula 1 finally became reality at the Australian Grand Prix, marking the arrival of the eleventh team on the grid. The debut, however, proved challenging from the outset: both drivers were knocked out in Q1 and failed to break into the top 15 on Sunday. Sergio Perez came closest, finishing 16th and reflecting proudly on the milestone. He described completing the race as “an incredible achievement just a year after our entry was approved,” stressing that the next step is sharpening performance to close the gap and aim higher.
Valtteri Bottas endured a more frustrating return. A fuel‑system issue forced him to retire on lap 15, cutting short what he called “a historic moment” for the team. Despite the setback, he praised the crew’s effort and highlighted the many positives gained from the weekend. Bottas added that he enjoyed the experience and is eager to regroup and push again in China.
