The 2024 World Champion successfully underwent a medical check-up to monitor his injured left hand and right collarbone. Exams at Madrid’s Hospital Ruber Internacional were positive, authorizing the Spaniard to travel to Thailand for the MotoGP tests on February 21-22.
However, his participation is not yet official. To pilot the RS-GP26, Martin requires final clearance from the MotoGP medical team in Buriram. Aprilia confirmed the travel authorization but noted he "must be evaluated by the medical delegation to receive physical fitness eligibility."
This development boosts the grid ahead of the March 1st championship opener. Similarly, Fabio Quartararo’s presence was recently confirmed following his right finger fracture. With these riders returning, the paddock looks ready for the season launch. Martin’s recovery progress is a promising sign for Aprilia as they approach Thailand.
