Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson could be dropped by Red Bull at the end of the F1 2025 season, despite strong performances at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, according to former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher. Both drivers, who swapped seats after the second race in China, shone in Baku—Lawson securing a career-best fifth and Tsunoda achieving sixth, his best Red Bull result.

Red Bull’s plans for next season appear set: Isack Hadjar is widely expected to join the senior team alongside Max Verstappen for F1 2026, with F2 star Arvid Lindblad moving into Racing Bulls. This leaves one seat open, putting both Tsunoda and Lawson in contention for retention.
