Hamilton’s struggle with Ferrari still continues

With seven Canadian Grand Prix victories apiece, the two seven-time drivers' champions are ahead of the field in Montreal. Hamilton won three races for McLaren and four for Mercedes, while Schumacher also won six races for Ferrari at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. Ahead of the 2025 Formula One season, which will take place in Montreal from June 13–15, the Briton has little chance of breaking his own record of seven victories or six poles in the Canadian Grand Prix, which he shares with Schumacher. Since switching from Mercedes to Ferrari, Hamilton has not even managed to secure a podium.

In addition, Ferrari is 197 points behind McLaren in the constructors' standings, while the 40-year-old is only 71 points behind Oscar Piastri in the F1 drivers' title. Even Ferrari's engineers have come to terms with Hamilton's conclusion that their improvements would only slightly boost the SF-25's performance and not save their season.
