Max Verstappen was making headlines at the conclusion of Saturday, but McLaren continued their winning streak from Friday to win the Sprint. If McLaren wins the Constructors' Championship before the end of Saturday, or even in Abu Dhabi, it will be the most impressive moment.
To everyone's amazement, pole position holder Lando Norris let teammate Oscar Piastri pass him on Saturday at the Lusail International Circuit, right before the finish line. After Piastri's early move on Mercedes' George Russell earlier in the race to move up to second place, McLaren was assured of a one-two at the Lusail International Circuit. It was representative of McLaren's efforts thus far this season; they now lead the Constructors' Championship by 30 points. By the conclusion of this weekend, if they can extend that advantage to 44, the team would have won their first championship since 1998.
