A contract disagreement has apparently led to Chinese organisation EDward Gaming suing former League of Legends superstar Scout. On July 10, the information reappeared on Chinese forums and spread via Twitter and Reddit. According to the LPL Fanclub fan page, the organisation is suing its former mid laner for breach of contract related to the reports of an argument between EDG and Scout in December.
Although the specifics of the disagreement are yet undisclosed, it is obvious that the company thinks Scout violated his contract in some way. Even though he was still contracted to EDG at the time, it was revealed in December that the owner had claimed Scout had secured a deal with an LCK club following Worlds 2021. The organisation allegedly increased the pay of the team, including Scout's, in an effort to retain the Worlds-winning lineup for one additional year.
