Lewis Hamilton charged with a win in Formula 1 Portuguese Grand Prix. Mercedes focused on a different rear wing approach which helped him overtake and tyre management. Other than that there are certain technical aspects also which helped him win the second race of the season. Mercedes and Red Bull have been at the front together this season and it is a close fight owing to the new tyres and regulations which undercuts Mercedes dominance a little in F1. While Red Bull has fixed the aerodynamic issues that affected them last season.
Mercedes is still working on the car ever since preseason testing did not go well in their favour. Portugal offered a tricky low grip track surface and especially on those tyres but Mercedes was sorted right at the start with Hamilton in complete control of the car and the different rear wings gave them an advantage over Red Bull.
