Maldini escapes serious injury after Milan car crash

Cagliari forward Daniel Maldini avoided serious harm after being involved in a car accident in Milan early Sunday morning. According to ANSA, the collision occurred at 05:15 on Via Caracciolo, where two vehicles crashed, leaving six people with minor injuries. Maldini, 24, was driving his Porsche Carrera 4 with three passengers when it collided with a Golf.

The incident came just hours after Maldini had featured in Bergamo, scoring a penalty before travelling to Milan for the night. Emergency services transported him to Fatebenefratelli Hospital for precautionary tests, but he was quickly discharged. His lawyer later confirmed that Maldini “is doing well and has suffered no injuries whatsoever.”

The forward’s condition offers relief to Cagliari, who rely on him as a key attacking option. With no lasting physical damage reported, Maldini is expected to resume regular activity once the club completes its internal assessments following the crash.
