Monza unveil Zeballos: ‘In Italy for Maradona and Paredes’ advice’

Monza have secured a significant addition for both present and future with the signing of Exequiel Zeballos, the talented Boca Juniors winger who landed in Milan before travelling to Brianza to begin his first Serie A adventure. The club moved decisively after opening the season with two defeats, investing €4.5 million to beat competition from Parma and Napoli.

Zeballos expressed excitement at the speed of the deal and his eagerness to meet coach Ivan Juric. Speaking to Sky Sport, he explained his choice of Italy through a personal connection: “My father’s idol is Maradona.” He also revealed that compatriot Leandro Paredes offered valuable advice during the transfer discussions, especially when Napoli showed interest. For Monza, Zeballos provides quality and depth on the wings, while the 2002‑born attacker begins his European journey driven by family inspiration and trusted guidance.
