Milan’s pursuit of Rúben Dias remains a near‑impossible dream

Milan’s summer business may not be finished, but their latest ambition borders on fantasy. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri have asked Manchester City for information on Rúben Dias, exploring whether a move could be feasible. The Portuguese centre‑back, born in 1997, is among the players City might consider offloading, yet the financial reality makes any deal extremely unlikely.

Dias is valued at around €60 million, while his annual salary — roughly €12 million — represents a major stumbling block for Milan, who have already invested heavily this window. His contract, running until 2029, adds another layer of difficulty to an operation that appears out of reach.

Despite the obstacles, Milan continue to monitor the situation. In the transfer market, dreaming is free — but turning this one into reality would require an extraordinary twist.
