India–Pakistan showdown set for September 5 in Women’s Asia Cup

India will face Pakistan on September 5 in the headline clash of the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup, with all matches scheduled at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium under lights. The Asian Cricket Council confirmed the fixtures on Thursday, announcing that the tournament will begin on August 28 with Thailand taking on Hong Kong. This edition marks the sixth time the competition will be played in the T20 format.

The eight participating teams have been divided into two groups: India, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong and China form Group A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE and Indonesia make up Group B. The top two sides from each group will advance to the semifinals, with the final set for September 13. India’s meeting with Pakistan remains the marquee event, adding further intrigue to a tournament that continues to grow in competitiveness and regional significance.
