As Formula 1 prepares to return in Austria, Isack Hadjar has urged Red Bull to simplify its starting procedure after another troubled launch in Barcelona. The Frenchman, who slipped outside the top ten before recovering to sixth, said the system has become “too complicated” and is contributing to repeated problems for the team.
His comments follow Max Verstappen’s disastrous getaway in Monaco, highlighting a pattern Red Bull are determined to fix before racing at their home circuit in Spielberg. Hadjar explained that of the six practice starts completed over the weekend, the one on the grid was the worst, noting he even stalled twice, something he had not experienced all season. He hopes the team can replicate Mercedes’ progress in resolving similar issues earlier in the year. With expectations high for the Austrian Grand Prix, Hadjar insists precision alone is not enough: “I’m not a computer. It just doesn’t work.”
