Crutchlow to replace Zarco again for Brno and Assen

Cal Crutchlow will remain on the MotoGP grid throughout June, with Honda LCR confirming that the British veteran will race at both Brno and Assen as Johann Zarco’s injury replacement. Crutchlow had already stepped in for the Frenchman following Zarco’s violent crash during the second start of the Barcelona Grand Prix, an incident that left him with serious damage to his left knee ligaments and a fracture at the base of the fibula.

Zarco has yet to undergo surgery and is following the guidance of renowned orthopaedic specialist Dr. Bertrand Sonnery‑Cottet, making his return timeline uncertain. Crutchlow, meanwhile, continues to provide stability and experience for the team as they navigate a challenging stretch of the season. His presence for the next two race weekends ensures continuity for Honda LCR while Zarco focuses on recovery. The team announced the decision ahead of the Hungarian round, confirming Crutchlow’s extended commitment.
