Brazilian Federation renews Ancelotti's contract

The Brazilian Football Federation has officially extended Carlo Ancelotti’s contract, confirming he will lead the national team through 2030. The decision reflects the CBF’s confidence in the Italian coach’s long‑term project, having restored stability and competitiveness since taking charge in 2025. His tenure has produced encouraging results in World Cup qualifying and preparations for the 2026 tournament, reinforcing the belief that he is the right figure to guide Brazil back to the top of world football.

In his first season, Ancelotti oversaw 10 matches, recording five wins, two draws and three defeats, with an 18‑8 goal difference. Those numbers strengthened the federation’s conviction to retain him for a full cycle. Ancelotti expressed delight at continuing, calling the role a unique chapter in his career and reaffirming his ambition to return the Seleção to global glory. Widely regarded as one of football’s greatest managers, he remains the most decorated coach in Champions League history.
