Guardiola concedes title race 'no longer' in Man City's control

Pep Guardiola admitted Manchester City no longer control their Premier League destiny after a dramatic 3‑3 draw with Everton. City had the chance to pull level with Arsenal by winning their next two matches, but instead sit five points behind the leaders, albeit with a game in hand. Guardiola acknowledged the shift, stressing that his side must now rely on an Arsenal stumble. City were forced to settle for a point at Hill Dickinson Stadium despite late pressure, with Jeremy Doku completing his brace in the ninety‑seventh minute.

The winger echoed his manager’s frustration but insisted belief remains with four matches left. Erling Haaland, who scored in the eighty‑third minute, reinforced that sentiment as players left the pitch. City still face Brentford, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Aston Villa, while Arsenal have a more favourable run‑in. Despite the setback, City remain in contention for a domestic treble, having already lifted the League Cup and reached the FA Cup final.
