Manchester United have secured the long‑term future of Kobbie Mainoo after the midfielder signed a new contract running until 2031, ending recent uncertainty over his situation. The 21‑year‑old England international agreed improved terms before completing the formalities at Carrington on Wednesday, replacing his previous deal that was due to expire in 2027 with an option for a further year. Speaking after signing, Mainoo described United as his home and emphasised the pride he feels representing a club so deeply connected to his family and city.
He said he continues to live his childhood dream with the same determination he had when joining the academy at six years old. Mainoo also highlighted the growing momentum within the squad and expressed his ambition to help United consistently compete for major trophies in the coming seasons. Having already made 98 appearances and scored seven goals, he is firmly established as one of the club’s brightest emerging talents.
