Bayern Munich decides the fate of Nicolas Jackson

Bayern Munich have opted not to activate the purchase option for Nicolas Jackson, ending the striker’s loan from Chelsea after a season in which he failed to convince the German club’s hierarchy. Jackson arrived last summer as a potential alternative to Harry Kane, but his performances did not meet expectations despite regular opportunities across competitions. Sky Sports reports that Bayern also have no intention of extending the loan, meaning the forward will return to Chelsea at the end of the campaign to fight for a place or explore a new move.

Jackson made twenty‑nine appearances for Bayern, totalling 1,151 minutes, and contributed ten goals and four assists. While his output showed flashes of promise, it was not enough to secure a permanent stay.
