Griezmann remains cautious despite their two-goal lead over Barca

Antoine Griezmann hailed Atletico Madrid’s 2–0 first‑leg victory over Barcelona yet urged his teammates to avoid complacency with a decisive return leg still looming. The Frenchman admitted the squad was “delighted with the result” but stressed that qualification is far from secured. He noted Atletico’s issues in possession and underlined the need for sharper execution in the second leg, calling for calm, discipline and focus as the semi‑final remains “a long way off.”

Griezmann also singled out Julián Álvarez for praise after the Argentine broke the deadlock with a brilliant direct free‑kick, describing him as being in “incredible form” and capable of pushing Atletico deeper into the competition.
