Zimbabwe Cricket have officially confirmed that India will visit Harare in July for a three‑match T20I series, with fixtures set for July 23, 25 and 26. It marks India’s return after their 2024 tour, when a youthful side led by Shubman Gill recovered from an opening defeat to claim a 4–1 victory. ZC managing director Givemore Makoni welcomed the announcement, stressing that clashes with India always attract major attention and provide invaluable experience against the reigning world champions. He added that Zimbabwe’s promising T20 World Cup displays make this series an ideal platform to build further momentum.
ZC also confirmed their January 2027 tour of India, previously outlined by the BCCI, featuring three ODIs in Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Makoni described the upcoming trip as a landmark moment, noting Zimbabwe have not played a bilateral ODI series in India for more than twenty years. He believes the engagement will strengthen ties and offer crucial exposure for the squad.
