Séamus Power starts strong at Bermuda Championship

In a crucial penultimate event of the 2025 PGA Tour season, Canada's Adam Hadwin has taken the lead at the Bermuda Championship after an impressive six-under-par 65 in the first round. However, encroaching darkness suspended play before all competitors could complete their rounds. Hadwin, currently 147th in the FedEx Cup standings, is chasing a strong finish to secure his full tour status for the following year.

Close behind, Japan's Takumi Kanaya and American Braden Thornberry are just one stroke off the lead. Séamus Power, the 2022 winner of this tournament, is positioned four strokes behind Hadwin in a tie for 13th after a solid round that included four birdies and two bogeys. Battling back from an injury-hampered season, Power sits at 133rd in the FedEx Cup standings and needs to break into the top 100. The season will conclude with next week's RSM Classic in Georgia.
