Red Bull driver Sergio Perez is scheduled to return to the Formula 1 

Perez's contract with Red Bull was cancelled following his final race in 2024. In his last season, the 35-year-old failed to win a single race. Many people are therefore doubtful that the 2023 Championship runner-up will be able to stay up with the best teams on the grid. However, with the new engine and chassis restrictions that will put every F1 driver to the test, there might not be a better moment for the task.

Numerous teams have reportedly expressed interest in hiring Perez during his time on the sidelines. Sauber is one of them; Perez drove for them in 2011 and finished on the podium three times. According to reports, Alpine was also interested in signing him, but that particular situation has ended as Perez appears to have joined a different squad.
